SWP Contracting & Paving is looking for a Striper experienced in all aspects of road and highway striping; paint / thermoplastic striper operators, pavement markers installers, tape installers, removal equipment operators, repair and maintenance, and supervisory staff.

A successful striper will -

  • Prepare, clean, sweep, and layout work area.
  • Set up and remove construction signs and traffic control items at the job site.
  • Complete layouts of parking lots / painting of lot lines / poles & various signage and parking block installations by operating and maintaining equipment, both hands operated and motorized, designed to remove pavement markings from roadway surfaces.
  • Operate striper truck (Paint striping / Thermoplastic striping applications.)

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a drug test - SWP is a drug-free environment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Arizona and other SWP projects locations.
  • Ability to work from construction maps / plans, follow layouts specified by customer or engineer.
  • Ability to understand (ADA) guidelines for Municipal Specifications.
  • Able to get a flagger card when doing traffic control.
  • Operate in all tasks related to SWP.


Working Conditions:  Rough driving, driving in heavy traffic and exposure to dust, fumes, hot weather and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, hot oil and other chemicals, tight work spaces along with other employees on the ground / other equipment, other times may be the sole occupant in the yard loading equipment and must remain safe or able to call for help in a possible emergency. 10hr work days / 40hr work weeks (additional as needed-including weekends / travel time). * Subject to field verification of operator skills.
