SWP Contracting & Paving is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager solely responsible for implementing, administering and maintaining a project quality control program and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. The role will provide project administration and support to a Project Manager. This job description is intended to describe the general content and requirements for performance of this job.   • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Able to pass a drug test - SWP is a drug-free environment
  • Able to obtain Federal Clearance to access Military Installations
  • Documented 2 years' experience as a QC manager and 5 years of construction experience
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Management Certificate. Must have attended a professionally accredited QC Management course (e.g. conducted by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers or Naval Facility Engineering Command, including a current certification within the last 5 years.) Contractor's self- developed programs shall not fulfill this requirement
  • Proven abilities and skills in the following: leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning, and organization
  • Proficiency in all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in USACE RMS and QCS software
  • Ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity for the Project Team
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
  • Write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
  • Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and obtain clarification, and respond well to questions
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to establish trust and interface effectively with Owners and Customers
  • Willingness to travel throughout Arizona

Working Conditions: Rough driving, driving in heavy traffic and exposure to dust, fumes, hot weather and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, hot oil and other chemicals, tight work spaces along fellow employees on the ground/other equipment, other times may be the sole occupant in the yard loading equipment and must remain safe or able to call for help in a possible emergency. 10hr work days / 40hr work weeks (additional as needed-including weekends/travel time). * Subject to field verification of operator skills.
